Ways to Cool Off in the Florida Heat

The heat can be unbearable and the best way to combat this is to plan for cooling off. Plan to find some shade or take a mid day break to swim at the resort pool. If you do this, you will have a better trip and be able to enjoy the cool evenings. I would also recommend going to the parks as early as possible to enjoy the parks before the sun and heat are full blast!  Ways to get wet

Magic Kingdom

  • Watching Splash Mountain – you can get wet on the bridge
  • Splash Mountain – you don’t get soaked but you will get damp and cooled off during indoor portion of the ride
  • Camels that spit on you at Magic Carpets of Aladdin
  • Tiki statues outside Jungle Cruise squirt water

Epcot:

  • Dancing water at Imagination Pavillion
  • Cool zone at Test Track

Hollywood Studios:

  • Coke Bottle and Fire Truck sprayers outside Backlot Tour

Animal Kingdom:

  • Kali River Rapids: You will be soaked!

The Best Air Conditioning

  • MK: Haunted Mansion, Hall of Presidents, Philharmagic, it’s a small world, Character encounters with Princesses and Mickey in Town Square
  • Epcot: Spaceship Earth, any pavilions in Future World, Grand Fiesta @ Mexico, Maelstrom @ Norway, Movies in China, Canada & France
  • Hollywood: Great Movie Ride, Playhouse Disney, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Art of Animation, Muppetvision 3D
  • Animal Kingdom: Finding Nemo, Tough to be a Bug, Dinosaur

Cool Treats

  • Dole Whip @ Aloha Isle – MK
  • Citrus Swirl @ Sunshine Tree Terrace – MK
  • Mickey Ice Cream Bar – all parks
  • Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich – all parks
  • Frozen Lemonade, frozen cokes, fruit smoothies – all parks
